As we come into this second week of the New Year we see a passion and hungry from the women of ROH that is certainly starting this year off right. Let's dive into the women's action from this week's episode of ROH.
Four Corner Survival
Queen Aminata vs Trish Adora vs Lady Frost vs Diamante
With Tony Khan’s announcement of the women’s ROH women’s title, the women on this roster have been on the hunt to qualify for a match to hold some new, shiny gold.
Last night was no different when four dynamic women, stepped into the ring to show why they’re more than ready to hold that title.
This match starts off with everyone giving the respect to shake hands and then blows are thrown. Both Lady Frost and Diamante are thrown out of the ring and Trish Adora and Queen Aminata are left in the ring together. This certainly gets me giddy as I was looking at these two women to collide, but as these two women are sizing each other up, Lady Frost comes back in and decimates every one in her path. Every women starts to get their spots in, but Queen Aminata conjured up a plan to work with Trish Adora to eliminate both Diamante and Lady Frost, but slamming Frost from the top rope, onto Diamante. This incapticates both women leaving Queen Aminata to double cross her temporary partner Trish Adora, but throwing her out of the ring and get the pin on Lady Frost to win this match. Very quickly into her return, Aminata is proving that she is someone to keep your eye on as she will do whatever she needs to keep that title.
Taya Valkyrie vs Robyn Renegade
With the ever confident, yet cocky Taya Valkyrie she of course ignores the code of honor and goes in for the kill to wear down one half of the renegade twins Robin. Throwing some vicious knees in the corner and not giving Robin a chance to breathe. Robin is a tough cookie and tries to make a comeback, but is quickly taken down when Taya breaks out the Shania Pain finisher to get the win. Taya is made quick work of the competition and showing that her and her husband are going to be taking over.
Rachel Ellering/ Leyla Hirsch vs Brittney Jade vs Emily Hale
With this newfound comradely that Leyla and Rachel Ellering have they come into this match very confident. The local talent of Brittney Jade and Emily Hale come in a bit hot and Emily smushes the face of Rachel Ellering as she tries to shake her hand. This turns Rachel's gears and she is all business after that. Rachel and Leyla commence to show this brave, but naive rookies to ROH why that are a tag team that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Rachel gets the pin for the night after she delivers the Boss Women slam that rocks her opponent to sleep. Rachel and Leyla have found their groove as a team and are so thrilling to watch every week.
Billy Starkz aims for the ROH women’s TV title
A very excited Billie Starkz appears backstage to tell Lexi something backstage that has her practically foaming at the mouth. They are excited that The Boss is out of town. As she is training in Houston. Lexi is so excited upon hearing this news because she has been dying to have a break for the regimented life that she has been leading as a bestie to the champ. Lexi goes down the list of things that they can do without Athena. Lexi wants to party. But Billy is all business when she reminds the rest of the division that the women’s TV title is all hers. However, with her having her eyes on the prize, she still makes sure that she takes advantage of this free time and goes off with Lexi to have some fun. I don’t know how the boss is going to feel about this next week.
