Battle at the Valley: NJPW strong women’s title: Giulia vs Trish Adora

In October of 2023, Giulia defeated Hyan to retain the NJPW Strong women’s championship. And had a strong showing at Stardom Queendom in November?

Trish Adora has been fighting for this opportunity during her time really building a name for herself in Japan over the past few months. Giulia was approached by Trish Adora after her match with Hyan. Though it wasn’t really taken seriously. Trish was relentless and got her wish when Giulia publicly accepted the challenge.

This brings us into Battle at the Valley where Giulia and Trish Adora comes in very confident.

The match starts off out with a lockup with Giulia being able to get headlock, and Trish getting an armlock afterwards. Trish starts to get some huge chops to put Giulia in her place. Especially after Giulia had to brag about not even knowing who Trish Adora was. Probably gave Trish a bit of a chip on shoulder coming into this match.

Blows are thrown both ways with the other trying to get the best of each other.

Trish gains her stride and puts on a great submission hold on Giulia in the middle of the match, but the champ wiggles out of the ring. This match gets taken out of the ring and a huge suplex on the floor from Trish onto Giulia should’ve taken her out. However, it just encourages her to deliver a suplex on the padded floor to Trish, then a double undertook flattens Trish, but she kicks out of the pin, to Giulia’s dismay.

The northern lights bomb finally takes out Trish.

Adora may have lost in San Jose that night, but she is now on the radar of Giulia and certainly earned the respect of the champ.
