All Caribbean Wrestling

As an indie wrestling fan, I have been delighted to see so many great promotions spring up and make some of the leading performers in the industry to define the next era in wrestling.

As a pan Africanist, seeing proper representation within wrestling is important. So you can imagine my excitement when I stumbled across All Caribbean Wrestling.

A promotion that is showcasing wrestlers from around that world that want to show off their Caribbean heritage.

These events have taken place in Jamaica and have not disappointed with its quality of wrestlers to production.

MoBay Bash is their latest event hat is taking place today on November 4th in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The level of compeition is insane and the promotion is certainly putting on killer matches.

So, I thought that it would fitting, to spotlight some amazing women’s matches that All Caribbean Wrestling has had so far at their last event.

Let’s review the Welcome to JamRock event.

Promise Braxton vs Crystal White: Welcome to Jamrock event

Promise Braxton had been making a splash in Texas, specifically ROH wrestling, so it’s refreshing see her in All Caribbean Wrestling. Crystal White comes out tantalizing the crowd with all the glam and muscle that they can handle. A lock by Promise starts us off, Crystal impresses with some drop kicks and huge chops to Promise in the corner. Braxton returns the favor and chops White with all she had. Braxton takes over at this point and stretches White. A test of strength by both women are on display as they take turns to see if that can get a possible samoan drop on the other, but a quick roll up delivers the win to Crystal White in a surprising fashion. This was a match that I would like to see revisited in a future event. Both women bring, power and brawn and I would love to see them have more time to showcase that.

Vanessa Kraven vs Cassandra Golden

This was an exciting match for me personally, because I was elated to see Vanessa Kraven back in the ring. I haven’t had the pleasure to see her in the ring since the Mae Young Claasic. Cassandra tries her best to get past the mountain Kraven, but her attempts to get her off her feet is impossible, and momentarily shakes up Golden. Kraven grins like a cherisher cat and delivers a brutal clothesline. Cassandra tries to make a comeback, but Vanessa is a freaking wrecking ball that chops the living hell out Cassandra. To the point where she hurts herself. Vanessa does a cannonball to knock the wind out of Cassandra and even attempts to knock her head off with a kick to the face. Golden proves to be resilient, making a comeback, and even getting a moonsault off of the top rope. Sadly, this does not give Cassandra the win. A vicious choke slam gives Vanessa Kraven the win for the night. A great effort on Cassandra Golden’s end, I can see her becoming a great babyface on the roster, but Kraven is going to be that immovable object on the women’s roster for All Caribbean Wrestling.

Joseline Navarro vs JC Storm: Welcome to Jamrock event

JC Storm comes out representing the Dominican Republic. The crowd didn’t move a muscle until their hometown hero, Joseline Navarro comes out representing Kingston, Jamaica. All of a suden you see a sea of flag and huge round of applause. Joseline tries to shake the hand of JC, put she rudely shoos it away.

We start this match with a lock up and a cocky Storm being put in a firm headlock by Navarro. Things heat up when Navarro starts to throw JC around. The bandana of JC is thrown off and we see both women go wild. Navarro is essentially in control of this match in the beginning.

Even taking it out of the ring to get the fans involved. JC turns this match around for bit, when she throws Navarro into a chair and person at ringside. Kingston’s own Joseline is getting the support of the fans as they lift her up and wave the Jamaican flag to boost her energy. It definitely works, as Navarro delivers some vicious chops to Storm.

However, a cross body off of the ramp, takes the wind out of Navarro sails, long enough to get the action back to the ring. JC Storm taunts the crowd as she lays into Navarro.

Maybe a mistake is made when Storm takes up too much time, admiring her own work, to really take out Navarro, because Joseline makes a comeback.

Becoming a bit insecure that she could win fairly, JC goes out of the ring and grabs a chair to use.

Luckily, the ref is on point and removes the chair. Making it a fair fight again. Joseline takes over, delivers a version of a widows peak and is able to grab the win.

Great match, with a crowd that is truly invested. Congratulations to the hometown darling, Joseline Navarro.
